Trauma-sensitive Organization Certification

The Global Center for Trauma Education and Training’s™ Trauma-sensitive Organization Leadership distinction is bestowed upon businesses who have demonstrated, through a series of training over a 12-month period, that 90% of the leadership team have completed a rigorous curriculum. 

This distinction means that the organization has made a commitment to its employees, students, patients, clients, and customers to reduce unintentional triggering and retraumatization that happens every day in the workplace. 

Each training will have both an internal (employee-centric) and external (customer, client, student, patient, etc. centric) approach ensuring that all stakeholders are treated with compassion, empathy, respect, dignity, and kindness.

At the end of the Global Center for Trauma Education and Training’s™ Trauma-sensitive Organization Certification training, every leader will have increased self-awareness, objectivity, and emotional intelligence to first hold space for themselves and their own emotional experience (being aware of how their own trauma is interacting with their experience). Additionally, they will thoughtfully and intentionally respond (vs react) to their employees, students, colleagues, and whomever from a grounded, trauma-sensitive interpersonal and intrapersonal lens.
